Ben is a licensed clinical social worker and the director of Behavioral Health here at MCHC. In addition to overseeing MCHC’s counseling and psychiatry services, he provides direct service to adults and children as young as two years old, specializing in trauma, depression, and anxiety. Ben recognizes that people are doing their best to get through life’s challenges, and that at times, all of us can benefit from support along the way. Ben appreciates working in primary care at MCHC because it allows him to collaborate with patients’ medical and specialty care providers, thereby serving the whole person. Ben has completed numerous internships and field placements, including in HIV/AIDS, skilled nursing, and youth services. Ben has lived and worked in Mendocino and Lake Counties for more than 20 years and loves the beauty and the small-town feel of the communities. He enjoys playing the guitar and riding his motorcycle and would love to become fluently bilingual in Spanish.
