Brie Abbe, prior to becoming a licensed midwife, had shown a dedication to learning, educating, and serving women. She gained experience on the mother/baby unit at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York, as a Registered Nurse. There she assessed, supported and cared for postpartum patients and their newborn babies. Brie has also been a health science educator, teaching high school student about sexual health, and worked for the World Alliance for Breastfeeding Action, in Malaysia in 2007, learning from global leaders. Brie also worked a critical access hospital in rural Maine for nine years, providing comprehensive nursing, lactation care, and serving as a childbirth education. She has tremendous knowledge about and passion for reproductive, maternal, and infant health care.
